The locks will be fitted before delivery as will the letterbox, stormguard threshold, weatherbar and rain deflector, security hinges and any numbering that you have requested.

Pre hung wooden doors

The concept of pre hanging a wooden door has been popular for many years.

In the days when doors were cut to size by hand saw, there would always be imperfections that needed the attention of the carpenter before they fitted perfectly. The introduction of electric saw benches made sure that the doors were square but hanging in the frame before fitting in situ.

At Fusion Doors, the wooden doors can be pre hung to make certain that there are no difficulties when the materials are delivered to site so that the fitting goes smoothly. It will also reduce the installation time on site.

Pre hung UPVC doors

These doors are fitted into UPVC steel reinforced frames and are cut in the factory by computer controlled saws. To make sure that the door fits perfectly, as computer settings can be misread by the workmen, the door can be pre hung in the frame. This will allow for any adjustments to be made in the factory before delivery.

Alignment of the locks will be possible and also the hinges can be aligned so that when the pre hung door and frame is delivered to the site, there is a perfect fitting. The door will be square in the frame, all the furniture will be in place and the fitting time will be reduced. Pre hung composite doors

Such a pre hung door is heavy due to the composite filling and must be entirely square in the frame as the weight will distort the hinges and frame if not perfect.
